LET’S TALK!!! Davido & Wizkid vs Pasuma & Saheed Osupa’s Supremacy Fight – Which One Is Tougher?

The Nigerian music Industry is basically divided into 2 folds, which is the Hip Hop Genre, that has artistes like, Davido, Wizkid, 2Baba, D’Banj, we then have the Fuji Music Genre, that envelopes acts like, Late Barrister, KWAM 1, Osupa, Pasuma etc.

Aparts from these two main division any other Genre is nothing but a figure head, cause Hip Hop and Fuji Music has been the most talked about music Genre in Nigeria recently

THE HIP HOP MUSIC SUPREMACY FIGHT

The Hip Hop Industry is known to be the over saturated one out of the two sects, this was a result of the well diversified trait of Hip Hop to encompasses virtually all tribe in the Nation, as such making the Genre to be well competitive and jam-packed.

Before the advent of Wizkid & Davido into the Hip Hopscene, there was no room for a long dominance by one artiste or record label for a longer time than normal, but the influx of the Wizkid & Davido led to a major alteration in the status quo, of Zero Dominance.

Now Wizkid & Davido has been dominating the space for more than 8 years nonstop and it doesn’t even look like the duo is stopping anytime soon, as they’re still the talk of the town both home and abroad. They are branded as the prestigious awards winners, accolades punters amongst other names.

It cannot be overemphasized that the fight for supremacy between Wizkid & Davido has been the major talk both locally and Internationally.

The fight has led to so much hate songs exchange between both camps, social media bashing, and sometimes Physical combat between die-hard fans and allies.

THE FUJI MUSIC GENRE SUPREMACY FIGHT

On the other hand, if you’re conversant with theFuji Music scene in Nigeria, It should sure ring a bell in your head as a general Fuji music lover if you hear the word “Aranbambi” and “Mateagbamole”.

Well in case you don’t know, these are the two households that dominates the whole Fuji music scene, is there even another household apart from these two? I doubt there is.

Virtually all artistes that comes under the Fuji music genre belongs to one of the two household, either Mateagbamole or Aranbambi.

These are not record label though, it’s not like theMavin, DMW, or Starboy that we have in the Hip Hop scene. The household is like a movement, or let’s say Family.

There’s always a default fight between the two leaders of each house, that is the House of Aranbambi, and the House of Mateagbamole just like the fight between the King in the North and the Night King in Game of thrones. They don’t even need a more inter-personal rift to start a battle.

During the leading era of Late Sikiru Ayinda Barrister, who happens to be the head ofMateagbamole clan and King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM 1) of Aranbambi house, there was a soft supremacy fight between them. It was soft because Barrister was considered to be one of the Pioneer of Fuji Music, so there was no Intense supremacy fight then.

Comes now in the Era of Saheed Osupa, the leader of the Mateagbamole house, and his close competitor, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma , who’s like the commander in chief of the Aranbambi house, the supremacy fight is now intense like we’ve never seen before.

Since the advent of the new leaders of each house, there haven’t been a total dispute settlement between Saheed Osupa and Pasuma, even despite the fact that elders in the game have tried to get this resolved.

But it’s like Fight is the bedrock of this Music Genre, unlike Hip Hop when Davido and Wizkid once in a while settle their differences and even chill together sometimes.

Having said all these, I believe we all at a point in time remember a fight between Wizkid and Davidoand also a supremacy fight between Pasuma andSaheed Osupa, and we know how intense it gets.
