The 61st annual Grammy Award was held on Sunday night 10th February, 2019 at Staples center in Los Angeles.
Kacey Musgraves was the star of the event, as she went home with four awards including “Album of the Year” for “Golden Hour”.
Cardi B makes history, to become the first woman to win “Best Rap Album” for her debut “Invasion of Privacy.”
While Childish Gambino was the first rapper to win “Record of the Year”, he also went home with “Song of the Year” “Best Rap/ Song Performance” and “Best Music Video” for the song “This is American”.
Ariana Grande won her first Grammy, “Best Pop Vocals for “Sweetener” while Lady Gaga earned three awards.
Nigerian Seun Kuti was also nominated for “World Music” category but lost to South Africa’s Soweto Gospel choir.
